The IRC, founded in 1933 by Albert Einstein to assist Germans suffering under Hitler’s regime, assists war-affected individuals worldwide. As part of a rebranding effort, they asked Threespot to transform their website. It wasn’t conveying their level of commitment to their work. Plus, the design and imagery were doing little to show that IRC people were out in the field getting “dust on their feet.”
The redesign paints a much more vivid picture of what the IRC does. Stories from the field, imagery of IRC people in action, and videos make their work real to users. Information on their spending (90 cents of every dollar goes to programs), along with third-party ratings, help build trust among potential donors. A category standout, the website has been honored by the W3 Awards, AIGA 50, and STEP’s Best of Web Awards.
